6:00± a.m.-- Floats leave AISD bus barns with
police escort
!!!!!!!!!!HEAVY TRAFFIC INTO THE PARKING LOT BEGINS!!!!!!!!!!
7:05± a.m.-- JUDGES leave City Hall via UTA
bus for parking lot
7:20± a.m.-- Bus with JUDGES arrive in line-up
area
7:25± a.m.-- SIRENS sounded in parking lot
signaling that the judging has begun
7:30± a.m.-- POLICE SECURE STREETS AROUND
THE PARADE ROUTE /PARKING LOT
8:15 - 8:30 a.m. Color Guards deploy along route
8:30± a.m.-- Judges name Mayor’s Award
Winner and the entire entry is moved into place in the lineup
8:30± a.m.-- Large floats are moved out of
the west end of the parking lot and onto Mitchell
9:00 a.m. -- NATIONAL ANTHEM
9:03 a.m. -- PARADE BEGINS AS APD MOTORCYCLES &
COLOR GUARD STEP OFF FROM PARKING LOT
9:45± a.m.-- Shuttle buses begin to return
entries to the stadium parking lot
9:45± a.m.-- First entries begin returning to parking lot
10:50± a.m.-- Last parade entry leaves parking
lot
11:35± a.m.-- LAST PARADE ENTRY ARRIVES BACK
IN PARKING LOT
12:00 p.m. -- Street sweeper begins cleanup of parking
lot
1:00 p.m. -- Awards Ceremony begins at Knapp
Heritage Park. 201 W. Front Street (intersection of Front Street and
Pecan Street)
